The textures are crisp, the lightining is just amazing and the way the game's atmosphere develops is just mind-blowing.
I mean the visual quality of this game is astonishing.
Sucker Punch, firstly, has really pushed the limits of PS4 to boundaries that really makes the future of the console look exciting. Is an Infamous experience waiting to be forgotten. How is it? Well, it is good, fun, but not fresh nor rewarding. Years later comes a totally different entry in the universe, with Troy Baker leading as new hero Delsin Rowe instead of the two-voiced Cole McGrath. I played it, with no knowledge of the first one, and after finishing it two times, it made me want to play the first entry as well. If you're new to the series pick it up and try ) … Expand If you liked the earlier games it's a 8 out of 10. Overall inFamous:Second Son is a good game with stunning graphics, responsive combat and a good story. Fights are interesting and bull rushing isn't the best way. There could have been a little more powers for my taste. As always you have karma specific powers and appearance like in previous infamous games. Combat is fast and responsive with a good mix of powers and upgrades. Would like some more choice or choicr that makes more impact. The moral/karma aspect of the game is ok. I liked the more goofy stuf that the first infamous did. Story isn't anything new but it's good enough. One of the best looking games on tne PS4.
Graphic and the open world part of the game are it's strongest parts. New playerss will find it more difficult but after a while you should get a hang of it. If you're a fan of the infamous games you will injoy this one. If you take it for what it is you can have a ton of fun, just don't expect a GTA killer. Taking down towers from 3 blocks away and generally feeling like an evil badass. I found myself using completely different powers, flying from rooftop to rooftop, taking more strategic approaches, launching missiles springing from rooftop vents.
I enjoyed how on my second playthrough smoke was so much more fun to play. Its more challenging and the karmic differences become apparent. My first good playthrough on normal was fun, smooth. Why then am I giving this game an 8 if its this bad then? Because in spite of itself it is a blast to play. The city seems a bit lifeless compared to say, a GTA V caliber of game, some missions hamstring you to a particular strategy, some missions will annoyingly force your character to walk or stand in place, the side missions can get monotonous. The city seems a bit lifeless compared to say, a GTA V The story is Ridiculous, the dialog is eyerollingly bad if you're an adult gamer. The story is Ridiculous, the dialog is eyerollingly bad if you're an adult gamer. It's better than Infamous 2 but still no infamous 1 (Although the game play is the best the series has offered.) I will not stoop to giving it a 10 just to fight off the trolls scoring the game low. I'm giving this a 9 because I feel that it deserves in between a 8/9 as a fan. The graphics are great, performance is good. So to recap: If you were a fan, you will like it! So that's great news for people like me. Which, in all honesty isn't too bad seeing as in my opinion, neither was New Marais and again, in my opinion Sucker Punches Seattle is gorgeous and better than New Marais was. I have to say that the only down side is that the city, being based off of a real city, just is not as good as Empire City. Deslin is far more likable than I thought he would be and the story is quite good too. The powers offer a nice change up to the game play and makes the experience fresh and precise. As other reviews have said, if you liked the others, you will most likely like this one. On the other hand I knew that a lot of people didn't like the first three games and that there would be trolls knocking it as people do exclusives these days.
